O R D E R
The writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned order passed by the second respondent in his proceedings dated 06.02.2026.
2. The petitioner allegedly involved in the financial irregularities in the respondent Society. He was relieved from service, however was not allowed to retire. A surcharge proceedings was initiated under Section 87 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 dated 06.02.2026. Challenging the same, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that since the petitioner was relieved from service on 29.06.2018, whereas, Section 81 enquiry was ordered on 26.02.2025 after a lapse of seven years, it is not valid as per Section 81 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act and it is barred by limitation.
