PRAYER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioners representation dated 02.02.2026 within a time frame

as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of

Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 02.02.2026 within a time frame that may be fixed by this

Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he submitted a representation to the

respondents dated 02.02.2026 to respondents seeking extension of the benefit of the order passed on 22.12.2025 by the 2^nd respondent, pursuant to which 93 persons possessing a one-year Diploma Course were directly appointed. The petitioner further seeks appointment to the post of Health Inspector Grade-II, as

he has also completed a one-year Diploma Course in Health Inspector. However, the respondents have not considered the same till date. Aggrieved by

the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Mr.M.Bindran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on

behalf of respondent Nos.1 and 2 submits that the second respondent is the competent authority to consider the case of the petitioner and to pass

appropriate orders.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the

submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent / Director, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Chennai, to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 02.02.2026 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, within a period of

six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There

shall be no order as to costs.
