ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a
Writ of Mandamus directing the first and second respondents to dispose of the proceedings of the second respondent dated 30.09.2024 and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this
Court.
2. The properties in Survey Nos. 231/1 and 233/1 originally belonged
to the petitioner’s grandfather, namely, Velandy Nadar. After the demise of the petitioner’s father, the said properties devolved upon his legal heirs, namely, the petitioner, his siblings, and their mother. The properties have been in the joint possession and enjoyment of the legal heirs, and no registered partition has taken place. However, during the UDR scheme, the patta was transferred solely in the name of the petitioner’s brother, namely, Mariyappan, without the knowledge and consent of the other legal heirs. Hence, the petitioner seeks reversion of the patta
and inclusion of the names of all the joint owners.
