ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the FIR registered in Crime No.328 of 2023 on the file of the first respondent.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant, who is the daughter of the first accused and cousin of the petitioner, had lodged a complaint alleging that the accused had abused her in filthy language, assaulted her and threatened her with dire consequences.
3. Based on the said complaint, the first respondent registered an FIR in Crime No.328 of 2023 for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(ii) of IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of women Act, 2002.
4. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
