ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the first respondent to grant approval of the petitioner’s appointment as Physical Education Teacher in the second respondent school with effect from the date of his appointment, i.e., 10.08.2016 and grant all consequential benefits.
2. The petitioner, a qualified Physical Education Teacher holding B.A.
and B.P.Ed degrees, was initially appointed on consolidated pay at St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Karaikal-an aided minority institution on 10.08.2016. On 04.08.2016, a regular vacancy arose in the post due to the resignation of the previous incumbent, Mr.John Joseph, and the petitioner was appointed to fill the said sanctioned post. She has been in continuous service since then.
3. Despite possessing the requisite qualifications and the availability of a sanctioned post, the petitioner’s appointment has not been approved by the Directorate of School Education (first respondent) to date, resulting in denial of salary under the Grant-in-Aid schem
