Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the Notice issued by the 4th respondent bearing Ref.NHAI/11015/22/2020/PIU Kanchee/3480 dated 24.11.2021, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents from in any manner disturbing the peaceful possession and enjoyment of the petitioner’s land situated in No.11, GST, Kattankulathur, Chengalpattu 603 203 of an extent of 17.5 cents, comprised in Survey Nos. 287/ 2A, 287/2B, 287/3, 254A/1A1 Kattankulathur Village, Chengalpattu Taluk, Chengalpattu District in any manner using the alleged acquisition notification in the year 1974 as the same has lapsed and further direct the respondents to follow the procedures established under law if at all the respondents propose to acquire the petitioner’s land for any public purpose and abide by the orders passed by the Hon’ble High Court in WP No.11639 of 1987 dated 02.02.1988 and W.P.No.5630 of 2007 dated 13.03.2007 in respect of the “Maraimalainagar

Satellite New Town Scheme”.

This writ petition is filed to call for the records of the Notice issued by the

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is

the absolute owner of the land and building to an extent of 17.5 cents, comprised in S.Nos.287/2A, 287/2B, 287/3, 254A/1A1, Kattankulathur Village, Chengelpattu Taluk, Chengelpattu District. This being so, in the year 1974, the first respondent issued a notification under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 bearing G.O.R.Nos.1934 to 1941 for the purpose of putting up "Maraimalai Nagar Satellite New Town Scheme" and subsequently issued the notification for acquisition dated 16.10.1974.
