Prayer:

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing Respondents 1 and 2 to act upon the petitioner’s representation dated 06-06-2026 by furnishing to the petitioner copies of the CCTV footage and electronic recordings secured and collected from the CCTV cameras maintained by Respondents 5 to 7 facing and covering the sole ingress and egress of the sole access route to the Petitioner’s lands comprised in Survey Nos.226/9B, 226/10B, 227/3, 4, 6, 7 and 229/1, 2 and 3B situated at Mettupatty Village, Valapady Taluk, Salem District as well as the CCTV cameras installed within the Petitioner’s lands, for the period of six months preceding 04-06-2026.

ORDER

1. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction directing the Respondents 1 and 2 to act upon the petitioner’s representation dated 06-06-2026 by furnishing to the petitioner copies of the CCTV footage and electronic recordings secured and collected from the CCTV cameras maintained by Respondents 5 to 7 facing and covering the sole ingress and egress of the sole access route to the Petitioner’s lands comprised in Survey Nos.226/9B, 226/10B, 227/3, 4, 6, 7 and 229/1, 2 and 3B situated at Mettupatty Village, Valapady Taluk, Salem District as well as the CCTV cameras installed within the Petitioner’s lands, for the period of six months preceding 04-06-2026.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is seen that the petitioner has made a representation dated 06.06.2026 before the respondents 1 and 2 and the same is still pending without any progress.

4. Without expressing anything on the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 06.06.2026, in accordance with law, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition (Criminal) is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
