Prayer :Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to secure the detenu and produce the body or person of the detenu, viz., M.Pousiyabanu, d/o. Mohamed Ali, aged 20 years before this Court, illegally detained by the third respondent and set her at liberty forthwith.

This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed for a direction to the first and second respondents to produce the body or person of the detenue, who is the daughter of the petitioner and to set her at liberty.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the detenue is his younger daughter. All of a sudden, she went missing on 06.05.2026 and in spite of the best efforts, the whereabouts of the detenue was not able to be ascertained. Hence, a complaint was given before the second respondent, based on which, a woman missing FIR came to be registered in Crime No.222 of 2026.
