A court will dismiss a revision petition as infructuous when the counsel for the petitioner informs the court that the relief sought is no longer necessary or actionable.

Headnote:This Civil Revision Petition was filed challenging a docket order passed by a lower civil court. The counsel for the petitioner represented to the court that the relief sought in the petition had been rendered infructuous. The central issue was the maintainability of the revision petition in light of subsequent developments. The court noted the categorical statement made by the counsel for the petitioner and recorded the endorsement made by the counsel in the court bundle. The Civil Revision Petition is dismissed as infructuous, and the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.

PRAYER

To set aside the Docket Order dated 30.04.2026 passed by the Ld XX Assistant Judge City Civil Court, at Chennai in IA.No.3 of 2026 in OS.No.2107 of 2026 by allowing this Revision Petition.

ORDER

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the prayer sought for in this Civil Revision Petition has now become infructuous. He has made an endorsement to that effect in the court bundle. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected CMP is closed.

No costs.
