Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, direction or order in the nature of a writ, directing the Respondents to consider and dispose of petitioners representations dated 10-3-2026 regarding interference of third Respondent Police in his business and insisting to close the shop at 10 pm and for permitting him to open the shop on all days 24x7 in the year as per G.O. Ms.No.207, Labour Welfare and Skill Development Department dated 08-05-2025 and pass such further or other orders as this Honorable Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Respondents to consider and dispose of petitioners representations dated 10.3.2026 regarding interference of third Respondent Police in his business and insisting to close the shop at 10 pm and for permitting him to open the shop on all days 24x7 in the year as per G.O. Ms.No.207, Labour Welfare and Skill Development Department dated 08-05-2025 and pass orders.

2. Heard Mr.G. Punniakoti and Mr.R.Ganesh Kumar, Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu, (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents. Perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the respondents are directed to conduct an enquiry on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 10.3.2026, after issuing notice to the petitioner and counter parties, if any, and to dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two(2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of. No costs.
