ORDER
The writ petition is filed directing the respondent to register and issue registration certificate and ID card to the petitioner based on the application dated 18.12.2025.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a practitioner in respect of Ayurvedic medicine. The petitioner underwent the course in Bihar and successfully completed the same. The petitioner is presently practising at Thiruvananthapuram. The petitioner intends to practise in Kanyakumari District and has therefore applied to the respondent for recognition as a practitioner of Indian Systems of Medicine. Since the same has not been granted, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Per contra, the learned Government Standing Counsel would submit that the petitioner is said to have undergone a course in Bihar. It has to be considered whether course undergone by the petitioner is a recognized course or not. The petitioner has to first produce the original certificate, and only after an enquiry into his credentials is conducted, due orders will be passed.
4. In view thereof, this Writ Petition is disposed of on the following terms:
(i) The petitioner's application dated 18.12.2025 shall be taken up for enquiry by the respondent;
(ii) Due notice of hearing shall be issued to the petitioner;
(iii) The petitioner shall appear before the respondent and produce the credentials as required on behalf of the respondent;
(iv) Thereafter, after due conduct of inquiry, final orders in accordance with law and the rules shall be passed;
(v) The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the receipt of a web copy of this order.
(vi) No costs.
