Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to issue community certificate, Viz., “Hindu - KANIYAN community, which is recognized as a Schedule Tribe” in favour of the petitioner's Daughter, namely, S.Suruthi by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.09.2020 and 13.07.2021 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner seeks issuance of community certificate for his daughter.

3.We permit the petitioner to submit a fresh application to the first respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt thereof, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application, hold enquiry and pass final order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months thereafter. We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter.

4.This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
