The court directed the concerned police authority to consider and dispose of a petitioner's complaint on its merits and in accordance with the law after the complaint was transferred for jurisdictional reasons.

Headnote:The petitioner filed a Criminal Original Petition under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, seeking a direction to the police authorities to take action on a complaint dated 09.06.2026. The court noted that the complaint had been transferred from the first respondent to the second, and subsequently to the third respondent on 22.06.2026, as the second respondent found the matter to be outside their jurisdiction. The primary issue was whether the respondents had initiated appropriate action on the petitioner's complaint. The court observed that the complaint had already been forwarded to the third respondent, who is now tasked with considering the matter and initiating action in accordance with the law. With the above said observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
