The present Intra Court Appeal has been instituted, challenging writ order dated 06.03.2025 passed in W.P.No.27649 of

2019. Writ Petitioner is the appellant herein.

2. Appellant was appointed as Village Administrative Officer on 14.03.2001. He submitted an application seeking alteration of his date of birth in the year 2005. Thereafter, he filed Writ Petition in the year 2005 in W.P.No.3841 of 2005, seeking direction to consider the representation of the petitioner. Direction was issued by this Court to consider the representation.

3. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that Department had given several opportunities to appellant and it was appellant, who failed to avail the opportunity.

4. May that as it be, appellant entered Government service in the year 2001 and submitted application for alteration of his date of birth in the year 2005. Issue was not finalized before the date of his retirement on 31.12.2005 and writ petition was filed in the year 2019. Pertinently, application seeking alteration of his date of birth had been filed on the eve of retirement of appellant, which deserves no merit consideration. At this length of time, the claim of appellant to alter his date of birth in the Service Record cannot be considered.

Consequently, the present Writ Appeal is dismissed. No costs.
