The Court is monitoring the administrative processing of a pension proposal, specifically the return of an old PPO and the issuance of a fresh FPPO, to ensure the petitioner's pensionary benefits are processed.

ORDER

Mr. A Phukan, learned counsel for the respondents, in terms of the directions passed by this Court on 24.06.2026, has completed his instructions and apprised this Court that the pension proposal in respect of the petitioner, was already submitted to the Director of Pension, Assam, by the jurisdictional Deputy Inspector of Schools, on 15.06.2023.

Mr. G Pegu, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate, on instructions, has submitted that the Director of Pension, on receipt of pension proposal in favour of the petitioner, had already required the jurisdictional Treasury Officer to return the PPO earlier issued in the matter. He submits that he be granted time till 15.07.2026 to place before this Court the further developments taking place in the matter.

Registry to list this matter again on 15.07.2026, on which date, Mr. Pegu, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate shall apprise this Court as to whether the PPO, as requisitioned, have been received and a fresh FPPO has been issued in favour of the petitioner, herein.
