1. Heard Mr. A.S. Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner, who has submitted that a complaint was made by the respondent No. 2 herein before the Lokayukta under the relevant provisions of the Meghalaya Lokayukta Act, 2014. Consequent thereof, the Hon’ble Lokayukta has directed that the allegation made by the complainant therein be looked into by the Court of the learned Special Judge under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The learned Special Judge (PC Act) Tura, West Garo Hills, taking cognizance of the said direction, had also impleaded the petitioner herein as

accused No. 1 amongst 13(thirteen) accused persons. The case before the learned Special Judge (PC Act) has been registered as Special (PC Act) No.

1/2023.
