This petition coming on for admission this day, the Court passed the

following:

ORDER

This petition is filed on the ground that the order dated 25.01.2017

passed by a Division Bench of this Court in Writ Appeal No.357 of 2016 has

been disobeyed.

The order has been passed on 25.01.2017. Even though an application

(I.A.No.6863 of 2023) has been filed seeking condonation of delay in filing the

contempt petition, we find no sufficient cause mentioned therein. The only

reason assigned is that due to wrong promise of the respondent, the petitioner

could not approach on time. Even though the Courts have been very liberal in

considering the matter of delay, the same requires to be answered atleast

reasonably. The reason that a wrong promise was given by the respondent

cannot constitute sufficient cause.

Hence, on ground of delay and merit, the petition is dismissed.
