ORDER

Present petition under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C. has been filed for quashing of FIR at Crime No.239/2023 registered at Police Station - Mahila Thana Padav, District - Gwalior (M.P.) for offence under Sections 498-A , 294 , 506 and 34 of IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act as well as its consequential proceedings in respect to present petitioner.

2. As per prosecution story, on 23.12.2014, respondent No. 2 / complainant lodged a complaint at the police station to the effect that the marriage of the complainant was solemnized with accused Navneet Sohra on 05.2.2022 as per the hindu rituals. After marriage, present petitioner and other accused persons started harassing the complainant for bringing insufficient dowry and demanded a grand vitara car and five lakh rupees in dowry. They also assaulted her and did not let her live in her matrimonial house. Upon this, FIR bearing Crime No. 239/2023 was registered against the present petitioners for offence under Sections 498-A , 294 , 506 and 34 of IPC .
