1. The present Revision Petition has been filed by the Petitioners/ Complainants against the order dated 29.05.2023 passed by the Madhya Pradesh State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Bhopal (“State Commission”), which dismissed their appeal and affirmed the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Morena (“District Forum”) order dated 23.10.2013 in CC No. 141 of 2013.

2. For convenience, the parties are referred to as placed in the original Complaint before the District Forum.

3. Brief facts of the case, as per the Complainants, are that they are the legal heirs of the deceased Rajendra Singh Tomar, who had obtained multiple life insurance policies from the Respondent/ Insurance Company. Following the insured’s death on 01.06.2012, the Complainants submitted the insurance claim and necessary documents to the Respondent on 23.07.2012, seeking payment of the amount due. However, the Respondent repudiated the claims on 30.03.2013, citing non-disclosure of previous policies by the insured, which allegedly rendered the claims invalid.
