For the Petitioner:AYUSHI PATIDAR
The NCLT holds the inherent power under Rule 154 of the NCLT Rules, 2016, to rectify accidental slips, clerical errors, or typographical mistakes in its orders to ensure the record accurately reflects the proceedings.
Headnote:The tribunal invoked Rule 154 of the NCLT Rules, 2016 to rectify a clerical error in a prior order dated 06.05.2026. The facts established that a paragraph in the original order incorrectly referenced a wrong company petition number. The tribunal exercised its inherent powers to correct the record suo motu to ensure accuracy of the judicial proceedings. The issue before the tribunal was whether an inadvertent typographical error in a final order could be rectified. The ratio decidendi is that the tribunal possesses the power to correct accidental slips or omissions in its orders under the NCLT Rules, 2016, to ensure that the order reflects the actual intention of the court and the correct legal record. The final outcome is the rectification of the typographical error in the previous order, which shall be read as corrected accordingly.

CORRIGENDUM ORDER
11.06.2026
(Hybrid Mode)
Order under Rule 154 of NCLT Rules, 2016
1. This Tribunal is empowered under Rule 154 (1) of the NCLT Rules, 2016 , to correct any error in its order. Accordingly, the following correction is made suo motu:
2. Upon perusal of the common order dated 06.05.2026 passed in I.A. No. 484(MP)/2025 and I.A. (I.B.C.) No. 567(MP)/2025 in TP (IB) No. 59 of 2019 [CP (IB) No. 427 of 2018], it is observed that, due to an inadvertent typographical error, Paragraph 41 incorrectly refers to "Company Petition (IB) No. 50 of 2024". The said paragraph ought to have referred to "TP (IB) No. 59 of 2019 [CP (IB) No. 427 of 2018]" instead.
3. Accordingly, Paragraph 41 of the order dated 06.05.2026 shall be read as follows:
“The Registry is directed to update its records to reflect the withdrawal of TP (IB) No. 59 of 2019 [CP (IB) No. 427 of 2018] and the termination of the CIRP. Certified copies of this Order be issued to all parties upon request”.
4. Save and except the above correction, all other portions of the order dated 06.05.2026 shall remain unchanged. This corrigendum shall form an integral part of the common order dated 06.05.2026 passed in I.A. No. 484(MP)/2025 and I.A. (I.B.C.) No. 567(MP)/2025 in TP (IB) No. 59 of 2019 [CP (IB) No. 427 of 2018].
