ORDER

1. This Review Application has been filed on behalf of Delhi Jal Board (hereinafter referred to as ‘DJB’) seeking review of the order dated 21.11.2024 passed by this Tribunal in in I.A. No. 537/2023 in Original Application No. 6/2012 to the extent, environmental compensation of Rs.25,22,79,000/- has been imposed upon it for violation of environmental laws and in particular, the provisions of Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (hereinafter referred to as ‘Water Act, 1974’) in general and Section 24 thereof in particular.

2. OA 6/2012 (supra) was filed by one Manoj Misra complaining about large scale pollution of River Yamuna on account of encroachment of its flood plains, pollution load emanating from domestic refuse, agricultural and industrial effluent directly being discharged in river, besides dumping of solid waste in the river body and downstream of river body. Details in this regard have already been stated in Tribunal’s judgment dated 21.11.2024 starting from para 12 and onwards.

3. Initially, OA 6/2012 (supra) was disposed of on 13.01.2015. Tribunal took note of discharge of heavy sewage untreated
