ORDER

1. Grievance in this application is against violation of environmental norms by M. Dhandapani (SMT Exports) of Thimmanguthu Village Panchayat in Pollachi, Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu, resulting in air and water pollution. There is extraction of ground water, in area which is over-exploited. In the process, there is dumping of coir pith and washing thereof in agriculture fields. The polluted effluents are being discharged in Sundarakali Pallam Odai, PAP Canal connected to the Bharathappuzha River. The air pollution is also affecting the children in the Rise School.

2. Vide order dated 01.12.2020, the Tribunal directed the State PCB and the District Magistrate, Coimbatore to verify the facts and take appropriate action in accordance with law and to file action taken report in the matter.

3. In view of above, the State PCB has filed its report dated 01.06.2021. It mentions, inter-alia, earlier orders of this Tribunal dated 11.02.2016 and 03.02.2016 in Application No. 199/2016(SZ), Thiru Samiappan Vs.
