1. The above application is filed for condonation of delay of 41 days in preferring the appeal challenging the Environmental Clearance granted by MoEF&CC dated 19.07.2023 and corrigendum dated 01.09.2023 by MoEF&CC in favour of the 4th respondent for the proposed expansion of steel rolling mill located in Kalugondapalli Village, Denkanikottai Taluk, Krishnagiri District.

In the affidavit filed by the applicant in support of his delay application, it is stated that after the grant of the Environmental Clearance on 19.07.2023, the applicant began the processing of collecting and collating the documents pertaining to the project such as Form-I, the minutes of the meeting of the EAC etc. The collection of the above said documents regarding the Environmental Clearance took about 15 days.

3. Thereafter the applicant has to satisfy themselves about the impact of the project based on the information collected, the impact on other industries, water bodies, human habitation etc., has to be assessed before filing the application. About 08 days were taken for the above process. Thereafter technical advice was received and
