ORDER

1. This Original Application (OA) was registered suo-moto on the basis of the news item titled “On revamp priority list Satpula Lake being filled up with raw sewage from drain” appearing in the Times of India dated

06.04.2024.

2. The news item had revealed that there was pumping of raw sewage into Satpula Lake from a large drain in Khirki near Saket Court in South Delhi. It has also disclosed that Satpula Lake was listed in 2021 as one of the 1,040 wetlands to be rejuvenated by Delhi Government’s wetland authority. This Lake has an area of 3.06 acres as per official record and is

situated inside a park of Delhi Development Authority (DDA).

3. Tribunal by the order dated 16.05.2024 had impleaded the

concerned authorities and had issued notices to them.
