3. These are the bail applications U/S.483 of BNSS by the petitioners for grant of bail in connection with GR Case No. 575 of 2025 arising out of Purusottampur PS Case No.579 of 2025 pending in the file of learned JMFC, Purushottampur for commission of offences punishable U/Ss.126(2)/296/115(2)/118(1)/118(2)/109(1)/351(3)/3( 5) of BNS r/w Sections 25(1)(a)/27 of the Arms Act, on the main allegation of attempting to the life of the injured Bhagirathi @ Bhagyaranjan Mohanty, Kanhu Mohanty and Gopal Mohanty by attacking them with lethal weapons, along with co-accused persons.
4. Heard, Mr. Jyotirmaya Sahoo, learned counsel for the Petitioners; Mr. C. Mohanty, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor and Mr. Amiya Kumar Mishra, learned counsel for the Informant in the matter and perused the record.
5. After having considered the rival submissions upon perusal of record, there appears allegation against the petitioners for attacking the injured persons with lethal weapons, but in the meantime, charge sheet has already been submitted, however, the injured Bhagirathi @ Bhagyaranjan Mohanty has sustained injury of partial amputation of left index middle and ring finger from their MCP joints with visible bones and loss of sensation. All the injuries sustained by the injured persons are opined to be grievous in nature as per the Injury reports.
6. In such view of the matter and taking into consideration the nature and gravity of the offence as alleged against the petitioners vis-a-vis the accusations sought to be brought against them and regard being had to the materials collected in support of the allegation against the Petitioners and keeping in view the other circumstances on record in entirety, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to any of the Petitioners.
Hence, these two bail applications of the petitioners stand rejected. In view of the alternative submission as advanced for Petitioner Karana Mahanty @ Karna Mahanty, he may renew his prayer for bail by annexing proper documents.
7. Accordingly, these BLAPL Nos.9232 and 9258 of
