BLAPL No. 10495 of 2025
Aryaman Pattnayak … Petitioner
Mr. A. Parija, Sr. Advocate along with
Mr. S.N. Das, Advocate
-versus-

Mr. J. Panda, CGC
CORAM:
JUSTICE G. SATAPATHY
ORDER(ORAL)
13.01.2026
Order No
03. I.A. No. 1043 of 2025
1. This matter is taken up through Hybrid
Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).
2. This is an application by the petitioner for grant of interim bail on the ground to register for the Spring semester course & attend the classes so as to be eligible to appear for the next semester
examination.
3. In the course of hearing, Mr. Ashok Parija, learned Senior Counsel, who is being assisted by Mr. S.N. Das, learned counsel for the petitioner by relying petitioner, but Mr. J. Panda, learned Central Government Counsel by referring to two documents
application of the petitioner.
4. After having considered the rival submissions upon perusal of record, this Court feels it proper to refer to the document relied on by the petitioner which is a mail forwarded by one Neha Gautam informing therein that since the request for the petitioner has reached after almost half of the current semester has been completed, it was considered to be not feasible to take up any coursework or examination at that stage as the mid-term exams and most of the coursework have already been completed and thereby, in such mail it was advised to the petitioner to follow up with them on the next semester for further guidance. The Spring 2026 semester course registration was stated to be beginning on 6th January, 2026 and classes would commence from 12th January, 2026. On a perusal of this mail, it appears that the registration date is already over and classes have already been started according to the mail. Further, the document which was referred to by Mr. J. Panda, learned CGC, it is found therein that the petitioner himself has forwarded a mail to Neha Gautam formally requesting for transfer of his remaining credits to a nearby University in order to complete the rest of his degree requirements and, due to his current entrepreneurial commitments, it is no longer feasible for him to travel to Shiv Nadar University for coursework. Similarly, in the other mail, it was stated by the petitioner that he is currently building an early-stage startup based in Dubai, which demands significant on-ground presence and strategic involvement at the critical phase; and as a result, he was unable to commit to regular attendance or in-person academic requirements at SNU. The aforesaid communication between Neha Gautam and the petitioner itself suggest that the registration for the semester is already over and classes have already started and, therefore, it is no longer required to grant interim bail to the petitioner to facilitate registration of the course.
Hence, this Court does not consider it proper to grant interim bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the I.A. stands disposed of.
BLAPL No. 10495 of 2025
