The sole appellant has assailed the judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 22.11.1995 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Jajpur in 2(a) C.C. Case No.52 of 1994, whereby the appellant has been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 20(b)(i) of the N.D.P.S. Act and Section 47(a) of the Bihar and Orissa Excise Act and sentenced to undergo R.I. for four years and to pay a fine of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees five thousand), in default, to undergo R.I. for six months for the offence under Section 20(b)(1) of the N.D.P.S. Act and also to undergo R.I. for six months and to pay a fine of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees one thousand), in default, to undergo R.I. for three months for the offence under Section 47(a) of the Bihar and Orissa E
