01. 1. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

2. The Petitioner is an accused in connection with G.R. Case No.51 of 2026 pending on the file of learned S.D.J.M., Nayagarh, arising out of Nayagarh Sadar P.S. Case No.13 of 2026 for commission of offence alleged under Sections 310(2)/ 296/ 121(1)/

132/ 351(2)of BNS, 2023.

3 The case of the prosecution is that on one Suresh Ch. Tandi Excise District Mobile Squad, Nayagarh reported that on 15.01.2026 during patrolling he detected an excise case, wherein Jagabandhu Sandha of village Bodapada under Sadar PS was selling I/D liquor at Bodapada Chhak and 10 litres of country liquor were seized from his possession. While bringing him and the seized liquor to the vehicle, four persons namely Gopi Sandha, Jalia Sandha, Bapuni and Kiran Sandha of Bodapada suddenly appeared and distracted the excise officials in discharge of their official duty and committed overt act.
