Date : 06-02-2024 Heard Mr. Shashi Bhushan Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, Mr. Ritesh Kumar, learned counsel for the J P University and Mr. Hari Mohan Mishra, learned counsel for the State.
2. The petitioner by filing the present writ petition seeking a direction upon the respondents to ensure payment of all the post retiral benefits, including the provident fund, GPF, group insurance, leave encashment, family pension and other benefits, despite the fact that the petitioner has already superannuated on 28.02.2006.
3. A counter affidavit as well as supplementary counter affidavits have been filed on behalf of the respondent University. At the outset, it is submitted on behalf of the University that all the substantive due amount has been paid to the petitioner. However, it has further been clarified that the petitioner has been paid remaining amount to the tune of Rs. 42,739/- towards the group insurance, similarly, the remaining due amount of Rs. 99,191/- towards the salary arrears for the period, prior to November, 1992.
