ORAL JUDGMENT
Date : 12-02-2024 Heard Mr. Shashi Shekhar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr. Sushil Kumar, learned GP-22 for the State.
2. Grievance of the petitioner is that he being the member of the Bihar Posts and Telegraphs Cooperative Society Limited, General Post Office Campus, Patna after bifurcation of the State of Bihar in the year 2000, one of the branches of the said cooperative society is in the State of Jharkhand, which changed the status of the petitioner’s cooperative society as to be deemed Multi State Cooperative Society.
3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner informs that the bare of the cooperative society is required to clarify the status of the society and obtain a registration from the Central Registrar, Cooperative Society, Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India in compliance of order dated 04.12.2015 passed by this Court in CWJC No. 16760 of 2012 (Prgatishil Adarsh Sahakari Grih Nirman Samiti Ltd & Anr. vs. The State Of Bihar).

Mr. Rakesh Ranjan, learned counsel for the State informs that a request has been made to the Bihar office by the Joint Registrar, Cooperative Societies Bihar, Patna informed the status of the petitioner’s society to the Central Registrar, Department of Cooperation, Government of India. 5. Central Registrar, Department of Cooperation, is directed to call for the records relating to the Cooperative Societies, namely, Bihar Posts and Telegraphs Cooperative Society Limited (respondent no. 5) from the Chairman and Secretary of the Society and ensure to comply with the direction of a Division Bench of this Court passed in CWJC No. 16760 of 2012 (Prgatishil Adarsh Sahakari Grih Nirman Samiti Ltd &
Anr. vs. The State Of Bihar).
6. The above exercise must be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.
7. The petitioner, if so advised, may also give information to the Chairman and the Secretary of the Society of which, he is one of the members.
8. Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of.
