5 22-12-2025 1. Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner, learned Counsel for the informant-Opposite Party No. 2 and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.
2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Mahila Police Station Case No. 29 of 2021, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 323, 504, 506, 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 /4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act .
3. As per the prosecution case, the informant alleges that she was married to the petitioner on 21.12.2018 as per Hindu rites. Despite receiving gifts at the time of marriage, the petitioner and his family allegedly demanded Rs. 2 lakhs from her father, and on her refusal, subjected her to harassment, assault, and threats. It is further alleged that on 10.07.2020, while two months pregnant, she was ousted from her matrimonial home and was assaulted.
