2 08-12-2025 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.
2. The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case in connection with Mahila P.S. Case No. 28/2024 dated 23.06.2024 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 3 23 , 341, 325, 498A read with Section 3 4 of the I.P.C. and Section 3 &4 of the D.P. Act.
3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner and the co-accused persons are alleged to have tortured the informant mentally and physically due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. It is further submitted that the informant was married with one Ashish Maurya and thereafter she filed a Complaint Case No. 547/2022 (Annexure-P/3) against him and without getting divorce, she contracted second marriage with the petitioner.
