4 21-01-2026 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the informant and learned A.P.P. for the State.

2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Magadh University P.S. Case No. 267 of 2024 dated 10.12.2024, instituted for the offences punishable under Sections 85 and 80(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 , and Section 3 /4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act .

3. The prosecution case, in short, is that the informant’s daughter, Sonam Kumari, was married to petitioner on 23.04.2024. After her marriage, her in-laws demanded a four- non- fulfillment of demand of dowry. On 09.12.2024 at about 11 PM the informant was informed that the accused persons had allegedly killed his daughter by hanging. When the informant reached the place of occurrence, he found the dead body of his daughter was hanging.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in the present case.
