2. The sole appellant in this case is seeking suspension of his sentence and release on bail during pendency of the appeal. He has been convicted vide judgment dated 18.01.2025 and sentenced vide order dated 31.01.2025 passed by learned Additional District and Sessions Judge-VI-cum- Exclusive Special Judge ( POCSO Act ), Munger, in POCSO Case No. 40 of 2021 arising out of Mahila P.S. Case No. 31 of
2021 for the offences punishable under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code , under Sections 4(2), 6 of the POCSO Act and Sections 3(1)(s) & 3(2)(v) of SC & ST Act. He has been only be sentenced under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and has been ordered to undergo rigorous imprisonment for life, which shall mean imprisonment for the remainder of natural life and fine of Rs.25,000/- and in default of payment of fine, he has to further undergo simple imprisonment for three months. 3.
