7 05-01-2026 Heard Mr. Pranav Ranjan, learned counsel for the petitioner and the State.
2. The present application has been preferred for:
the quashing of the order dated
06.06.2014 passed by Circle Officer, Punpun, passed in Case No. 16/12-13 so far as it related to present writ petitioners by which the Circle Officer, Masaudhi has cancelled the jamabandi of the land of the petitioners and it has been directed by the Circle Officer, Punpun to enter the name of Respondent no. 8 namely Vijay Kumar Sao as in Register-II the order dated 23.07.2013 is an ex-party order in respect of petitioners. The details of A. Khata No. 51, Khesra No. 31, Area 0.6 decimal B. Khata No. 51, Khesra No. 240, Area - 81 decimal It is stated that the land in question belong to petitioners and same is in possession of the petitioners. It is further stated that petitioners were not served with any notice in connection with case 16/12-13 which was decided by the Circle Officer, Punpun. The petitioners came to know about the order dated 06.06.2014 on 30.08.2016.
3. This application shall be heard.
4. State represents respondent nos. 1 to 7 and the respondent no. 8 is unrepresented.
5. Petitioner to take steps for fresh issuance of notices upon respondent no. 8 through both processes i.e. ordinary as well as registered cover with A/D for which requisites etc. must be filed within a period of four weeks failing which the application shall stand rejected without further reference to the Bench.
6. In case, the order passed is not complied and the matter accordingly stands dismissed, subsequently, the same be posted under the heading ‘To be Mentioned’.
7. Pleadings to be exchanged in six months.
8. Rule is made returnable within a period of one year.
9. This Court would like to put on record its word of appreciation for Mr. Pranav Ranjan for ably assisting in the matter.
