Applicant-Insurance Company seeks to set aside the impugned
order dated 17.10.2017 passed by the learned MACT, Ludhiana, albeit only
to the extent of grant of penal interest in the event of delay in disbursement
of the awarded compensation.

There is a delay of 954 days in filing the appeal. Narrative of
reasons pleaded in paras 2-8 of the accompanied condonation application
under Section 5 of the Limitation Act, is as under: -

That the impugned order was passed on 17.10.2017
passed by learned MACT, Ludhiana. In para No.24 of the
award, the learned MACT awarded a sum of Rs.54, 64, 500/- in
