Prayer in the present petition, filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita ( BNSS ), 2023, is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.91 dated 16.07.2025, under Sections 406, 420, 120-B IPC, 1860, registered at Police Station Jodhewal, District Ludhiana.
The aforesaid FIR was registered on the basis of application of complainant Dinesh Kumar Aggarwal, alleging therein that the petitioner, along with other family members i.e. father, wife, brother and sister-in-law, had cheated him of Rs.62,39,914/-. The complainant stated that he was doing business of Edible Oil and Guargum under the name of J.K.Ceramics Pvt. Ltd. for the last 30 years and aforesaid accused persons were dealing MONIKA with him and his company since the year 2020 for supply of goods and services. Further, the petitioner, along with other family members i.e. father, wife, brother and sister-in-law, instigated him to invest in his regular business and got material worth Rs.62,39,914/- on different occasions.
