The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS’) seeking grant of regular bail in case arising out of FIR No.158 dated 14.06.2023 registered under Section 15C and 29 of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘NDPS’) (and Section 21-C of NDPS and Section 25(6), 25(7) of Arms Act, 1959 and Section 307, 323, 186, 332 and 353 of IPC were added later on) registered at Police Station Phillaur, Jalandhar (Rural) District Jalandhar. As per the allegations on 14.06.2023, the petitioner alongwith co- accused Parminder Singh @ Pinder was apprehended while he was driving a truck bearing registration No.PB-08-EC-3854 and 2520 Kgs of poppy husk was recovered from the above-said truck which was taken into possession by the polic
