1. Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 483 BNSS is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.252 dated 02.11.2024 registered under Sections 103(1), 190, 191, 333, 115(2), 118 BNS and (Section 190, 191, 118 BNS deleted) (Section 3(5), 238 BNS added later on), at Police Station City Tarn Taran.

2. Learned counsel contends that the petitioner has been in custody for 1 year, 2 months and 12 days. The allegations against the petitioner are of having inflicted injuries to the deceased, however, 4 material witnesses including the complainant have turned hostile, out of 23 PWs. Charges have been framed on 12.05.2025. He is not involved in any other case.

3. The custody certificate dated 22.01.2026 along with status report, filed by the learned State counsel is taken on record. As per the same, the petitioner is behind bars for 1 year, 2 months
