Present revision petition has been filed for setting aside the impugned order dated 20.11.2025 (Annexure P-1), whereby, the petitioner has been directed to deposit 20% of the compensation amount as a per- condition for the grant of suspension of sentence, while admitting the appeal in a case under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (for short, ‘the Act’), 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that the petitioner was prosecuted in a complaint under Section 138 of the Act and he was convicted by learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Ambala, under Section 138 of the Act, vide judgment dated 14.10.2025 and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year and was ordered to pay compensation of Rs.8,70,000/- i.e. the cheque amount, to the complainant vide order dated 24.10.2025.
