Instant revision petition is directed against order dated

02.08.2025 passed by Civil Judge (Junior Division), Jalandhar whereby application filed by the petitioners under Order VII Rule 11 CPC read with Section 12A of the Commercial Courts Act, 2015, has been dismissed.

2. The issue that arises for consideration of this Court is:

“whether the present suit falls within the ambit of ‘commercial disputes’ as adumbrated under Section 2(1)

(c) of the Commercial Courts Act, 2015?”

3. Counsel for the petitioners refers to item No.(vii) and submits that the present suit having been filed by the landlord seeking recovery of rent shall be relatable to the ‘commercial disputes’ under Section 2(1)(c)(vii) and thus was to be instituted before the Commercial Courts.
