For the commission of offence punishable under Sections 15, and 25 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, hereinafter referred to as ‘NDPS Act’, the FIR No.03 dated 03.01.2026 has been lodged in Police Station Chhajali, District Sangrur. Since the petitioner is apprehending arrest in the abovementioned case, and the application for anticipatory bail, filed by the petitioner, has been dismissed by the learned Judge, Special Court Sangrur, vide order dated 19.01.2026, the petitioner is seeking the benefit of anticipatory bail by virtue of present petition. The petitioner is claiming the abovesaid concession by invoking the provisions enshrined under Section 482 of the ‘Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023’.
