Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, submits that he does not press the present writ petition as regards the challenge to the remand order dated 18.07.2024 (Annexure P-3) passed by the learned Financial Commissioner (Appeals), Punjab, is concerned; however, he prays that the learned District Collector, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, may be directed to decide the remanded case in a time bound manner and without being influenced by any observations made by learned Financial Commissioner (Appeals), Punjab, in the aforesaid order (Annexure P-3).

3. At this stage, Mr. Navneet Singh, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, appears on behalf of the respondent-State, in pursuance of the advance copy of paper book having already been supplied to him, and does not oppose the aforesaid course of action.

4. Keeping in view the submissions made by learned counsel for the respective parties, the present writ petition is dismissed as not pressed. However, since the matter relating to the appointment of Lambardar of Village Bharoli, Tehsil Banga, District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, has been pending for more than eight years, the learned District Collector, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, is
