1. Prayer in the instant petition filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.99 dated 10.12.2023, registered under Sections 21-C and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station Sarai Amanat Khan, District Tarn Taran.

2. Brief facts of the present case are that as per the prosecution, on 10.12.2023, Inspector Narinder Singh, along with his fellow police officials was present at Bridge of Drain, Naushehra Dhala and on the basis of secret information, apprehended one Malkit Singh, who was found in conscious possession of 1 kg. 10 grams of heroin. Hence the present FIR.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case and he has no concern with the said offence. He
