The present appeal has been preferred against the award dated 07.07.2017 passed in the claim petition filed under Sections 166/140 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 by the learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Palwal (for short, ‘the Tribunal’), whereby the appellant-Insurance company was held liable to pay the compensation to the claimant/respondent No.1 to the tune of Rs.1,45,498/- along with interest @ 7.5% per annum on account of injuries sustained by the claimant/respondent No.1.
