Instant petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant them the minimum of the pay scale i.e. basic pay + grade pay + dearness allowance as revised from time to time at par with their regular counterparts, instead of fixed consolidated salary from the date(s) of their initial contractual appointment(s) with consequential arrears along with interest @ 12% per annum in view of law laid down by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in State of Punjab and others v. Jagjit Singh and others, 2016(4) SCT 641 and followed by this Court in CWP-

26367 of 2018 – Pritpal Kaur and others v. State of Punjab and another decided 25.11.2024
