The instant writ petition impugns the order dated 20.03.2024 (Annexure P-8), vide which, the learned Additional Deputy Commissioner- cum-Appellate Tribunal, Roopnagar, has dismissed the appeal filed against the order dated 04.09.2023 (Annexure P-7), passed by the learned Mainte- nance Tribunal, wherethrough the application preferred by the petitioner (senior citizen), under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, (the Act of 2007), for cancelling the transfer deed, was dismissed.

2. During the course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner points out that the impugned order dated 20.03.2024 (Annexure P-8), has been passed by an authority devoid of statutory jurisdiction, and therefore, warrants interference on this
