1. This Appeal seeks to assail interim order dated 30.01.2026 passed by the learned Single Bench in COCP-3306-2025, whereby, the Contempt Court, after having taken note of certain disturbing facts, has directed an enquiry to be conducted in the matter.

2. The order dated 30.01.2026, passed by the Contempt Court, in its entirety, is reproduced as under:-

“On 14.01.2026 the following order was passed:

‘Present contempt petition has been filed alleging contempt of order dated 04.12.2018 (Annexure P-1) passed by this Court in RSA-6430-2018 titled “Sahaj Ram & Ors. vs. Gram Panchayat Garh Mirakpur & Ors.”.

Briefly the facts relevant to the present lis are that the plaintiff-petitioners herein filed a suit for declaration with consequential relief of permanent injunction claiming themselves to be proprietors of the village Garh Mirakpur, Tehsil and District Sonepat and for restraining the Gram Panchayat from interfering in the peaceful possession of the plaintiff-petitioners over the suit land. The suit was decreed vide judgment and decree dated 14.10.2013. An appeal was preferred by the Gram Panchayat, which was allowed vide judgment and decree dated 12.10.2018. Aggrieved by the judgment and decree dated 12.10.2018 passed by the First Appellate Court, regular second appeal being RSA-6430-2018 was preferred by the plaintiff- petitioners herein in which vide order dated 04.12.2018 status quo was directed to be maintained. A perusal of the memo of parties of the regular second appeal reveals that the Gram Panchayat of village Garh Mirakpur, Tehsil and District Sonepat through its Sarpanch was impleaded as contesting respondent No.1; State of Haryana through Collector, Sonepat was impleaded as respondent No.2; SDO (Civil), Sonepat was impleaded as respondent No.3; and BD&PO, Rai, Tehsil Rai, District Sonepat was impleaded as respondent No.4. On 13.05.2025 the plaintiff-petitioners herein were dispossessed on the basis of eviction order dated 22.04.2025 with respect to 157 acres of land. At this point learned counsel for the plaintiff-petitioners has pointed out that the BD&PO was shown the order passed by this Court in RSA-6430-2018 and despite the order being shown, the BD&PO continued with the exercise of taking possession of the suit land and destroyed the standing crop. Learned counsel for the plaintiff-petitioners seeks permission to place the said video on record as the same does not form part of the record, however, it has been shown to the Court during the course of the arguments. The land was thereafter given on lease by auction by the Gram Panchayat in favour of Mukesh son of Ram Kumar and other people as follows :

(i) Plot No.23 (78 Kanals 18 Marlas) was auctioned in favour of Mukesh son of Ram Kumar for an amount of ₹1,70,000/-;

(ii) Plot No.24 (72 Kanals 0 Marla) was auctioned in favour of Mukesh son of Tej Singh for an amount of ₹65,000/-;

(iii) Plot No.25 (62 Kanals 16 Marlas) was auctioned in favour of Naveen son of Satbir for an amount of ₹60,000/-;

(iv) Plot No.26 (62 Kanals 16 Marlas) was auctioned in favour of Mukesh son of Tej Singh for an amount of ₹60,000/-;

(v) Plot No.27 (62 Kanals 16 Marlas) was auctioned in favour of Mukesh son of Tej Singh for an amount of ₹65,000/-;

(vi) Plot No.28 (62 Kanals 16 Marlas), reserved for SC category, was auctioned in favour of Parmod son of Nafe for an amount of ₹35,000/-;

(vii) Plot No.29 (62 Kanals 16 Marlas), reserved for SC category, was auctioned in favour of Parmod son of Nafe for an amount of ₹36,000/-;

(viii) Plot No.30 (61 Kanals 05 Marlas), reserved for SC category, was auctioned in favour
