1. The present is a petition filed under Section 11 (6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’), seeking appointment of an independent sole arbitrator in the present case.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a valid agreement was entered into between the parties, wherein there exists an arbitration clause at Para No. 24, which provides for settlement of disputes and the said agreement has been attached with the present petition as Annexure P-1. He further submitted that as per the aforesaid clause, in case any dispute arises between the parties and they are not able to settle the same amicably, the disputes shall be finally resolved in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 by a sole Arbitrator.
