In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the order dated 01.07.2019 (Annexure P-7) and order dated 23.10.2019 (Annexure P- 10) whereby the claim of the petitioner for refixation of his pay was rejected.

2. A perusal of the writ petition would show that as per the petitioner, the respondents have taken into consideration the date of promotion of the petitioner on the post of Head Constable from promotion list C-II as 09.09.1996 instead of 09.09.1994. As such, if promotion list C-II is taken as 09.09.1994, the pay of the petitioner has to be refixed and he would be entitled for all consequential benefits.
